About Niko Forge

Niko Forge is the trading name of Mykola Sharashenidze, a sole trader based in Ireland.

I make and sell handcrafted knives, hatchets, axes and other metalwork, including ready-made pieces, pre-orders and custom commissions.

Business address: Kilcannon, County Waterford, X91 D270, Ireland

Email: niko.bladesmith@gmail.com

Website: https://nikoforge.ie

These terms apply to purchases and commissions agreed through this website or directly with me. Please read them before placing an order and keep a copy for your records.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.

Product Information

Product listings describe the materials, intended use, price and main characteristics of each piece.

For ready-made products, photographs show the item offered unless the listing states otherwise. For pre-orders and commissions, photographs, sketches and design drafts may illustrate the intended style rather than the exact piece you will receive.

Lighting and screen settings can affect how colours appear. This does not remove your right to receive goods that match their description and any specifications we expressly agree.

Handmade Products and Natural Variations

Every piece I make at Niko Forge is individually handcrafted. Slight variations in dimensions, shape, colour, pattern, texture and finish may occur due to the handmade process and the natural character of the materials.

Wood, in particular, has its own grain, tones and markings, so no two handles will look exactly alike.

For commissions, we will agree on the design, materials and intended dimensions before production begins. If a particular measurement, fit or appearance is essential, please explain this during our initial discussion so we can agree on what is achievable.

Handmade variations do not permit significant departures from agreed specifications without your agreement. They do not affect your rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the contract.

Placing an Order

Please check your selected products, quantities, contact details and delivery address before submitting an order.

An automated order acknowledgement confirms receipt of your order. Acceptance occurs when I confirm that I can fulfil it, including through a dispatch confirmation where no earlier acceptance is sent.

For custom commissions, the specification, price, payment arrangements and expected timescale will be agreed in writing.

If I cannot accept an order, I will explain this and refund any payment received for it. Once an order is accepted, our contractual obligations and your statutory rights apply.

Prices and Payments

Prices are shown in euro. The total payable, including applicable taxes and delivery charges, will be disclosed before you commit to purchasing.

Online card payments are processed through Stripe.

For commissions, any deposit, staged payments and remaining balance will be agreed in writing before you commit. Applicable cancellation conditions will also be explained before payment is accepted.

Any requested change that affects the agreed price, specification or production schedule must be agreed in writing.

If a pricing or description error is identified, I will contact you to resolve it. I will not charge a higher price without your agreement. This does not give me an unrestricted right to alter an accepted contract.

Pre-Orders

A pre-order is for an item that is not yet ready for dispatch. The expected production and delivery timeframe will be provided before you place your order.

Photographs may show an example of the design. Your finished piece may have the slight handmade and natural variations described in these terms.

Where handle selection forms part of your order, I will contact you at the handle-making stage with photographs of available options so we can agree on a colour and pattern you like. The selection depends on the materials available at that time.

Use each item only for its described and intended purpose and follow any care and safety instructions supplied.

Sharp and heavy tools require careful handling and secure storage. Keep them away from children and anyone unable to use them safely.

Damage caused by misuse, accidents, unsuitable storage, modifications or failure to follow reasonable care instructions is not, by itself, a manufacturing defect.

This does not exclude responsibility for an underlying fault or affect your statutory rights.

Age and Purchase Eligibility

You must provide accurate information and meet applicable legal requirements for purchasing and receiving the item in your destination.

Any product-specific age restrictions will be disclosed before purchase.

Where requested, you must provide your date of birth to confirm purchase eligibility. This is a customer declaration rather than independent identity verification.

I may decline an order where there are reasonable grounds to believe that the purchase or delivery would be unlawful.

Privacy and Cookies

My Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used and protected.

My Cookie Policy explains the website’s use of cookies and how you can manage your preferences.

Both policies are available on this website.

Website Content

Unless stated otherwise, website photographs, text and original content belong to Niko Forge or are used with permission.

You may browse the website and share links for personal use. Commercial reproduction or use of its content requires permission, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

Liability and Consumer Rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Nothing restricts your mandatory consumer rights or my obligation to provide goods that conform to the contract.

Complaints and Applicable Law

Please send complaints to niko.bladesmith@gmail.com, including your order details and a description of the issue. I will investigate and work with you towards a resolution.

These terms are governed by Irish law.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the European Union, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections available under applicable law in your country of residence or your rights concerning the courts in which you may bring proceedings.

Changes to These Terms

I may update these terms for future orders.

The version provided when you place your order applies to that order, unless we agree otherwise or a change is required by law.
