A quotation is then prepared based on the materials, complexity and work involved. The agreed specifications, price and estimated production timeframe will be confirmed before the order is placed.

Flexible payment arrangements are available to make commissioning a handmade piece more convenient.

• Orders under €500: Payment can be divided into two instalments.

• Orders of €500 or more: Payment can be divided into three instalments.

• Alternative arrangements: Different payment schedules can be discussed depending on the project.

The initial deposit and payment schedule are agreed individually before work begins.

The remaining balance must be paid once the piece is completed and before delivery or collection.

Once the design, specifications and payment arrangements are agreed, work on your commission can begin.

Every piece is individually handmade, and production times depend on the complexity of the design and the current workload.

An estimated timeframe will be discussed during the initial enquiry and confirmed before the order is placed. Where practical, progress updates or photographs can be provided throughout the making process.

Once your commission is finished, you'll be contacted to arrange the final payment and delivery or collection.

Shipping costs and arrangements are discussed individually, particularly for large or heavy metalwork. Collection by appointment may also be available.

Every piece I make at Niko Forge is individually handcrafted. We’ll agree on the design, materials and intended dimensions before I begin, but slight variations in measurements, colour, pattern and finish may occur due to the handmade process and the natural character of the materials.

Wood, in particular, has its own grain, tones and markings, so no two handles will look exactly alike. Any photographs or reference pieces illustrate the intended style rather than an identical finished result.
